Tyre Processing

Tyre Processing

Due to high volumes, end of life tyres are considered as one of the most problematic sources of waste, creating issues as high risk of fire, toxic emissions to the atmosphere and groundwater contamination to name but a few.  Since 1983 the company Salvadori  has been providing solutions for the responsible recycling of tyres by designing and manufacturing equipment covering the whole process of transforming the old tyres from waste into a valuable product whilst at the same time creating an ecological benefit.

Salvadori delivers machines for every step of the tyres recycling process:
Hercules 45 & Hercules 90 - removing the metal bead from truck and OTR tyres before processing the tyres in a shredding plant.
MT REX -  bead removal and downsizing equipment for the largest size OTR & mining tyres before processing the tyres in a shredding plant.
Wolverine - reducing the tyre into smaller pieces that afterwards can be processed by shredding, energy recovery or pyrolysis.
Solid tyre fray machine - production of mulch, frayed material and rubber powder of various sizes.

The shredding plants process the resized tyre pieces into separate materials: steel, textile fibres and rubber in the form of crumb or dust that can be further processed to produce a wide range of end products.
